Andy has visited the three remaining Bachelorettes's hometowns. Now they're set to visit him where he lives, in Hawaii. He wants to show them his everyday life, and the type of life they'd be leading as a Navy wife.
Bevin arrives first and Andy shows her the Pearl Harbor Memorial, which he also shows to Danielle and Tessa. Andy tells Danielle it's traditional to offer flowers to the memorial, so they cast their leis, flower by flower, to the water. Bevin and Danielle both try to show Andy they have what it takes to be Navy wives, but Tessa impresses Andy the most, asking a number of questions about the memorial. When Andy and Tessa are throwing their flowers in the water, a little girl comes up and Andy hands her some flowers to throw. He says later that he felt a foreshadowing of himself as a husband and father with Tessa. He tells the little girl, "She's my girlfriend," adding, "Isn't she beautiful?" Tessa says that today "hit home" and she can now see herself married to Andy and sharing a life with him.
Next, Andy has Tessa meet him on Kauai, the most romantic of all the islands, where they strap into harnesses and safety helmets as they prepare to ride over a ravine on a "zip line." Tessa says she's starting to open up as she realizes she does have feelings for Andy, so today it's important for her to show him how she feels. Andy admires Tessa's tomboy side and how she appears to be "up for anything."
Over a picnic, he tells her Hawaii is his backyard, he just needs someone to share it with and they kiss as the sun sets. He says he has a great time with her, but he knows that, in the back of her mind, she's still not 100 percent sure about risking her heart.
That night, they meet on a beach, where they drink champagne in a hammock. She proposes a toast to the ending of a great day. She tells him this has all been beyond her wildest dreams and how much this has all meant to her. He says later that he was prepared to push her to reveal her feelings, but was thrilled that he didn't have to because she was saying everything he wanted to hear. She tells him she loves that she's always smiling and laughing with him and he brings out a side of her that she loves.
He presents her with a note from Host Chris, which holds a key to the Fantasy Suite, should they decide to spend the night there as a couple. She tells him there is nothing in the world she would love more than to spend more time with him, alone.
They arrive at the Fantasy Suite, where dozens of candles are lit and the bed is scattered with flower petals. As they eat dessert, she thanks him for being patient with her. She says she made a promise to keep everything she told him "real" during this experience and that's one of the reasons it took her so long to open up.
They retire to the bathroom, where a bath is drawn with more candles and more flower petals. Andy knows he has two more overnight dates coming up and says the thought is killing him.
His next date is with Danielle and they go out on a catamaran. He kisses her hello and she says, "That's a good start!" Danielle is amazed when a pod of dolphins swims past their boat and when they spot a whale surfacing Danielle says, "I feel like I'm in a dream!"
Next they strip down to their bathing suits, put on masks and flippers and dive in. They swim among the fish and kiss underwater. Afterward, they sip drinks on the deck and she asks him how much longer he's assigned to Hawaii. He tells her about a year and she asks if he has the option to stay longer, if he wants. He responds it's partly up to what happens with the show, but it's hard to think about leaving.
She says she's so glad she's met him and that she can't help but remember what the psychic told her, that she would have two more serious relationships in her life and the third one would be the one. "And here I am," she says with a smile.
After a whole day with Danielle, Andy says he just can't get enough and that he feels the chemistry is only getting better between them. That evening, he greets her with another lei and tells her she looks beautiful. He's most concerned about making sure that, after having lost a boyfriend, she's ready to fall in love again.
Over dinner on the beach, she asks him if he thinks she'd fit in okay with his family and he assures her they would love her. He says he admires her bonds with her family and she says she wants the kind of relationship that her parents have. Privately, he says he can see in her the strong mother and wife he's looking for.
He has a surprise for her: A psychic is joining them to read their fortunes. Danielle can't think of any questions, but the psychic tells her that her heart knows, and the question will come out as she shuffles the cards. The psychic reads the cards and tells her there might still be some sadness about losses that have happened in the past but that it is in the past and she can let it go. Danielle is impressed by the reading, saying later that she thought she'd gotten over losing her boyfriend, but maybe there are still some issues she needs to deal with. But she thinks she's ready to find another love like the one she lost and she's ready to take a risk.
Andy asks the psychic if he will get engaged within a week. She tells him he has to make his choice based on love, not fear. Andy believes she is telling him to trust his heart and not overthink things.
Andy is reassured that Danielle has gotten past her loss. He hands her the invitation to the Fantasy Suite and she happily accepts. At the suite, she tells him she wants him to know that, even though she's only known him a short time, she really cares about him. The pressure of falling in love with three women is starting to get to him, but he appreciates that Danielle is the only one who says she knows what he's going through. He says the nurturing side of her is "huge" and very important to him.
Next, Andy spends the day with Bevin. He's hoping to determine if there's more to their relationship than an intense physical attraction. He kisses her hello and asks if she's ready to go hiking. They kayak up a creek, then get out and hike. He tells her he thinks it's paradise and asks, "Wouldn't you like to live here?" "I would!" she responds. "Are you asking?" "Yes!" he says and spins her around.
"I feel electricity in my soul when I'm with Bevin," he says later. Privately, Bevin says she's never met anyone like Andy it feels like they are meant to be together and that she's ready to fall in love and start a family.
He points out a waterfall and asks if she wants to jump off it with him. They hold hands, and on the count of three, jump in together. They float on inner tubes, kissing, and then kiss some more under the waterfall. He towels her off and she says it feels like they can always pick up right where they left off and he tells her he saved the best for last.
Andy still feels he hasn't gotten to know what he wants about Bevin, so he makes a point to come up with questions to ask her over dinner, which is laid out for them near the water. He knows they have great chemistry, but he needs to make sure they have the same vision for their future.
Four drummers and Samoan fire dancers join them for "their own private luau." The two female dancers try to show Andy and Bevin how it's done.
He tells her he thinks she's beautiful and smart and loves the electricity between them, but he has to know how she feels about marriage now, having been married once before. She says that for a few years, she thought she'd never get married again, but that she's not willing to give up the dream of having a family one day because of one bad decision. He says he admires her honesty and that it had to be tough to share her past with him. Privately, he says she "came through with flying colors" in response to his questions.
Andy presents Bevin with the invitation to the Fantasy Suite and she accepts, saying she hopes they can continue the conversation and he can get to know her better. She tells him she knows the passion is there, but she really wants to build the other aspects of their relationship.
When they enter the suite, she says she's never seen so many candles in her life. She feeds him strawberries with whipped cream. Privately, she says she can't believe she's gotten so lucky, because she's always been unlucky in love and that she can definitely say right now that she loves Andy. They slow dance and the camera pans away.
Andy has to make his big decision, so he calls his best friend, Gatsby, who flies into Kauai. He tells his friend that all the women are "out of this world" and he can't decide.
He describes Tessa as lighthearted, playful and smart and that he sees enormous potential with her but that she has had doubts about the process. He doesn't know if there's enough time for her "baby steps" to allow a real relationship.
He tells Gatsby that Danielle is strong and nurturing and has old-fashioned values and that he felt very comfortable around her family.
Bevin is beautiful and sexy, he says and he was instantly attracted to her. He's concerned that she's more liberal than him, with her tattoos, and was previously married, but that she's a stronger person for her mistakes.
Gatsby asks how he feels about them, nonanalytically, and Andy says he's having a hard time since he has feelings for all of them. He asks Andy to imagine who he'd want to see at the finish line with their child if he just finished the Iron Man triathlon. They talk some more and finally make a toast to the "final two."
Andy is dreading tonight's rose ceremony, saying he knows he's going to break someone's heart. Before he hands out the two roses, Andy takes out a handkerchief and wipes his forehead.
He gives roses to:
Bevin
Tessa
Danielle hugs Bevin and Tessa goodbye and then Andy takes her by the hand so they can talk privately. She asks him why he didn't choose her and he responds that he can't really give her a reason, he just had to trust his heart. He tells her she's been a great source of strength and she's going to make some man really happy. She tells him he's "set the bar" for the kind of man she wants to be with.
He sees her into the limo and is left wondering if he's made a mistake. He wipes a tear away as he watches her go. In the limo, she says she has trouble thinking she's never going to see him again and that it "hurts a lot" that he didn't choose her. She never thought she'd find love again after her boyfriend died, but that at least this time she got a little more closure, she says.
Andy returns to Tessa and Bevin and wraps them both in an enormous hug. He tells them they'll both be going to see his hometown of Lancaster, Pennsylvania where they're going to meet his family. He coaches them on how to pronounce the town's name and then toasts, "Here's to Lancaster!"
