It's hugs all around when Frank returns to his teammates from Arrow Corporation. The next morning, the teams meet Trump at Pacific Palisades Park to get their next task. Each team is to design and manufacture a line of men and women's swimwear for Trina Turk, a huge name in the business.
Trina will MC a fashion show on Santa Monica Beach for a group of swimwear buyers. The team that makes the most money selling to them will win. In another twist, Trump announces that the winning team will not have to participate in the next task.
Nicole steps up to become project manager for Arrow with a goal to motivate everyone on her team. Carey gets out his notebook to design styles for men, but Aaron worries that Carey's designs won't fly with a majority of men. Carey, an openly gay man, defends his design and believes that it will be very popular with other gay men.
Kinetic decides on a "beachwear" theme for their designs but "kicked up a notch," as Jenn puts it. Heidi, still project manager after winning the previous week's task, doesn't like her team's first design because it is too "mainstream and plain." However, Marisa insists on the design and Heidi lets it stay.
Carey is thrilled by the results of his design and proudly models it for the rest of his team. At first sight, Tim thinks that Carey is modeling a female bikini bottom and is shocked to discover that this is their men's suit.
On Santa Monica beach Trina Turk kicks off the fashion show by introducing Kinetic Corporation's swimwear line. Next up is Arrow Corporation's collection. There is silence and confusion on the beach when Carey comes out in his swimsuit. Kinetic's Derek, who is also openly gay, thinks the suit is a disaster.
When the orders are tallied, Arrow sells a total of $19,616 worth of swimwear while Kinetic sells over $20,000 worth, making them the clear winner. Heidi gets to remain as project manager and Kinetic gets to be exempt from the next task. Of course, this means that Arrow, once more, has to sleep outside in tents and someone will be fired.
For their reward, Kinetic goes to the Playboy Mansion to meet Hugh Hefner and hang out at the swimming pool with some of Playboy's special... assets.
While Kinetic frolics with the Playboy bunnies, Arrow cooks dinner outside where Tim frets that the team isn't gelling because they are mismatched. Michelle worries that the team doesn't like her and from what others say, she may be right.
"Do you people like to lose?" Trump asks Arrow in the boardroom. "What's wrong with you?" Nicole admits that they lost because of their men's line and tells Trump that it was Carey's idea to do the tight men's suit. Carey admits that he designed the suit for a gay audience but then turns around and blames Michelle for the loss because she causes tension among the team.
The majority of the team believes that Carey should be fired, though some think that Michelle or Nicole should go. As project manager, Nicole chooses Carey and Michelle to return to the boardroom with her while everyone else returns to the leaky tent.
Carey defends his design as being all about "taking a risk" and says that the team did approve it. Michelle disagrees and says that she objected to several of Carey's ideas. Trump wonders why Michelle is even there and Carey tries to make it seem like it was her fault they lost because of a price-point argument.
Trump holds up the suit in question with a pen and asks what man would wear the suit. Carey is adamant that there's a marketplace for that suit. "Carey," Trump says, "I'm going to give you that suit, but Carey... you're fired!"
