The final four return to the house after a bruising boardroom battle. As they talk, they're surprised by a visit from Mr. Trump and Don, Jr. who instruct them to head to the Beverly Wilshire Hotel for a thingytail party with four previous Apprentices.
All past Apprentice winners - sans Bill Rancic - give a round of applause to the final four as they enter the hotel courtyard. After some drinks, advice, and chitchat, Kelly gives each team 30 seconds to choose two fired candidates to bring back for the final task. Frank and Nicole choose Tim and Surya while James and Stefani choose Aaron and Angela.
Come morning, the former candidates arrive to join their new teams. Surya isn't happy to be there, but Frank tries to make amends. Then, it's off to the Universal Studios backlot to receive their final task. Each team is to write, direct, and produce a "mini movie" for Renuzit Air Freshener. A Renuzit executive and the chief creative officer for their marketing firm will advise Trump on their creations.
James and Stefani tour their soundstages and all the available sets. They meet with the executives to get a sense on what they are expecting. Nicole and Frank also meet with the executives. Nicole wants to set their movie in a hospital, but Surya and Frank butt heads over this concept. Tim also shares Frank's concerns that a hospital setting is inappropriate for a light-hearted ad.
Stefani and James come up with a courtroom scenario about a husband who has been charged with "stinking up the family home." Stefani gets their movie cast and shooting quickly begins with everything running smoothly. Meanwhile, Nicole and Frank's hospital commercial also starts shooting with the addition of a "stinky bum" to add some comedy to a potentially morbid setting.
While things are pretty light at the hospital set, James demands take after take. With he and Stefani's clock running down, they still don't have enough footage to edit together a complete storyline.
With shooting complete, the hard work of editing begins. Nicole takes charge of her mini movie and ignores Frank's comments. He argues with her about not letting him participate. James and Stefani have problems of their own when Aaron points out that James didn't get all the footage they needed.
The teams arrive at an AMC Theater for the world premiere of their two films. The crowd responds well to James and Stefani's commercial, and then it's time for Frank and Nicole's film. Frank's "stinky bum" gets a good laugh and a hearty round of applause at the end.
The executives give Trump feedback on the two teams and they have high praise for James and Stefani. They're a bit more ambivalent when it comes to Frank and Nicole, especially with their inability to work as a team. However, they do appreciate Frank's energy and determination.
James tells Trump that he and his team did "excellent." Stefani agrees with this assessment. Nicole then says that she had a "dream team" and that Frank did a great job. Frank completely agrees, saying they "hit the mark."
Trump dismisses the past candidates, leaving only the final four in the boardroom. He congratulates them all on a job well done and sends them back to the mansion to pack up and go home. Next week, he'll meet with them again in the LIVE finale from the world famous Hollywood Bowl... so stay tuned to see who becomes this season's Apprentice!
