Well, I don't think the outcome was any surprise. Shandi Finnessy was the second dancer to be eliminated.
What was surprising to me is that Heather Mills has still not been in the bottom two. I'm sorry, the girl can't dance. I know she has an artificial leg and is going thru a nasty divorce from Sir Paul, but come on. And my opinion is not based upon her personal life with and without Sir Paul. I could care less about what she did or did not do to Sir Paul. He is a grown man and put himself in that situation...deal with it! It is based upon her dancing. Her performance Tuesday night was nothing short of a femal version of Master P cluncking around in fugly tennis shoes. I know some of you are going to say give her a break because of her leg. NO NO NO! She came on this show wanting no favors, but she is getting them. The judges are judging differently when it comes to her. They are being soft on her. There is no way she deserved a 24 for that dance. And when is she going to get scolded for her flips. According to the rules, in order for it to not be considered a lift, one limb must remain on the floor at all times. Sorry to say, this weeks trick, all four limbs were off the floor. Just because she is doing something probably no one with one leg would do does not make it right. I say stop with the tricks and dance. Just dance. That is what this is, a dancing contest! Ok, I will stop with the Heather bashing. But at least I am only bashing her terrible dancing and not her as a person.
Another surprise was the amount of talent there was in the way of musical guests. Of course I could have done without Ciara. Maybe if she would have sang 1...2 step it would have been better. And to have Survivor singing Eye of the Tiger....WOW That was awesome. Although I don't like the Pasa Doble dance, it was great last night. Perfect song for it. I think the one thing I was totally impressed with was not necessarily Josh Grobin's song, but the dance that was done while we was singing. Such a lovely lovely dance. So pretty and fluid. I could watch lyrical dancing all night.
For me, you can cut the amount of musical guests you have and add more professionals dancing. I just love love love to watch them dance.
Until next week, when hopefully Heather will go and we can get down to a real competition being judged fairly....Have a Great Easter!
