Recap: The sky is blue....the sea is green... HAHAHA
I like the overlay of the US Flag and hiighway over the original plane. Nice.
Starting out from Melbourne Manor, isn't it always a Manor in these things? Weavers seem like get up and go people this leg, maybe they'll do well. The Gazebo in North Carleston SC is the next stop, and teams ract ot he airport. The girl from the Linz family wants to shape up the boys, must be getting sick of fart jokes. The Shroeder's give us a family moment (single tear). Some of the Ariello family sound like the Sopranos. THe guys' name is Tony?? I love it!! Gaghan family: "We've raised them like little adults for this race and not children" sounds like good parenting to me Paolo family father says "This is an amazing country", and it reminded me of that guy who always used to say "What a Country!" Yakov was it?
Teams head to Dullus airport on the road to Charleston and are confused as to which flights are early or late. I see the hate of the Weavers now, I didn't see the previous episode so I guess I missed why. Two of the young boyys make friends and talk, not sure if it was about the game but it freaked their families out a lot. Just let them be for God's sake. Paolo family is fighting, the oldest boy is a real thingy and is obviously spoiled if he gets a little tired and lashes out.
In Charleston the Weavers are called "Team Fruit Loop". From the Gazebo we have a Detour: Forest Gump or Muddy Waters. Forest Gump is deheading 200 pounds of shrimp on a shrimp boat 7 miles away, Muddy Waters is going Mud Bogging in the Ridgeville Mud Runs, 37 miles away, having to complete one lap with a 4X4.
Getting stuck in the mud is really easy, and the Weavers struggle alot and can't make a lap. The Aiello's get stuck right at the finish line!! hahaha Try again! You have to go back to the begining and do it again.
Shrimping task is long, but much easier than the mud and much closer to the next task.
The Gaghan family comes to watch the other in the mud and see how it will go. They are labelled as city slickers by the others, and the Weavers take off to go shrimping! That had to be a stupid mistake, but who knows? This mud task seems to be incredibly hard. I'm rooting for the Gaghan's and their mini adults though.
Next up the teams must go to the Craleston Visitors center and get on the list for one of two busses, several hours apart. Standard amazing race stuff. The people shrimping must go there on foot, i'm assuming those who went to the mud can drive considering it's 37 miles away. The Gaghan's make their run through the mud on the first lap and the kids love it! I like this family despite their weird parenting skills. Despite that though, no one from the mudding gets on the first bus...
The busses are headed to a mystery destination 8 hours away!! Paolo family arguing and the dislike of the Weavers continue.
They are headed to Hunstville AL, Rocket capital of the world, to the Space and Rocket Center for their next clue. Family road Block, one that is new to this season as two people must perform it. They must get into the centrifuge and withstand up to 3.2 G's of force to receive their next clue. It's first come first serve and that definately had an effect on the outcome of this leg. The kids will love this!
The Godlewski sisters are morons!! Can't decide if a hangar is an airplane or what the airplane goes in. And apparently they have to withstand 3 "GI's". Good grief!
Now it's off to the Saturn 5 exibit to a computer station to log onto AOL...people act like idiots on tv just as a side note....the AOL thing is really cool, with a mission impossible style video for them that comes up! all we need is for the station to explode!
It's now a race on foot to the pit stop! The Bransen family makes it first!! Even with dear old dad. They win....FREE GAS FOR LIFE?? Holy f'ing crap!! Best prize ever.
Weaver mother on the second bus is concerned about her children being held prisoner on the long ride...ok I see where everyone is coming from with this loon. Paolo's say the Weavers went nuts, but hey Paolo's, at least they aren't CONSTANTLY whining and moaning. The Weavers ask the lord for wisdom, and I nearly choked on the snack I was eating...
Family's continue to do the centrifuge and race to the pit stop, the Gaghan kids were excited of course. Paolo's are lost, surprise they are pregnant doging again!!! That boy is what you calll, a "Wiener". That's right, I said it. Gaghan's are lost too, but both teams make it.
The Aiello's (Sopranos) are last and are eliminated...OH! What the F**k? heh heh.
Julie Chen advert for the Early show...shades of BB.
